Take a Peek

Take a peek as an individual

As an individual, you can choose and participate in one or more courses from our Bachelor's degree programmes during the lecture period.

Visits will be possible in May and June.

Summer term 2025

The lecture period of the summer term has started. A selection of courses is opened for you. In the first and last two weeks of the lecture period, details of the course and the exams will be discussed in the courses. Since this content is not very meaningful for visitors, attendance is not recommended during this time. The lectures are therefore open for visits until 27 June 2025.

Please note:

  • It is not necessary to register in advance.
  • Please inform the lecturer before the start of the event about your visit.
  • Unfortunately, we cannot provide up-to-date information on whether all events are taking place. Cancellations are always possible.

Have fun and an exciting day on our campus.

Leuphana Bachelor - Major and Minor Programmes

The Leuphana Bachelor's degree programme consists of four parts: Leuphana Semester, Major, Minor and Complementary Studies
When applying for a place on the programme, you choose a major and a minor.
You choose the content of the Leuphana Semester and the Complementary Studies by selecting courses in the respective semester.
The Leuphana Semester takes place in the winter semester.
The complementary study programme is not part of the taster study.

Teacher Training Courses

The teacher training programme consists of several parts.

In Lehren & Lernen the degree programme for primary and secondary school teachers is possible in the following areas:

  1. Professionalisation area (pedagogy/psychology/didactics)
  2. two teaching subjects

For Sozialpädagogik, the vocational school teaching qualification, there are three parts

  1. vocational specialisation (social pedagogy)
  2. professionalisation area
  3. one teaching subject

Some modules/courses are offered for Lehren & Lernen (GHR) and for Sozialpädagogik (LBS). Therefore, there may be overlaps or joint courses.

Please note: both programmes are taught in German. Although English is available as a teaching subject, you will need a very good knowledge of German for a full degree programme. For this reason, we have not translated the taster study programmes.

Event formats

What is meant by the terms "lecture", "tutorial", "seminar" and "integrated course"?

Lecture

Lectures are used to impart theoretical knowledge by a lecturer who presents with the help of a script or slides. This is therefore a type of teaching in which the students mainly listen to the lecturer.

Seminars

Seminars serve to deepen knowledge of selected topics. Students are given topics to work on independently and for example give a presentation on them.

Exercises

Exercises are accompanying events to the lectures in which skills and abilities are developed. The focus is on independently solving exercises relating to the lecture material and discussing the solutions.

Integrated events

Here, the teaching and learning forms of lecture and tutorial are combined.
